I remind myself that getting out the door is the hardest part

To stay motivated during these times I look back at pictures from running cross country and track from high school and remember how much fun I had. I look at the professional runners and see that nothing has stopped them from getting their runs in so nothing should stop me. I remind myself that building a base now will help me when I go into 5k or half marathon training when local races open up. I remind myself that getting out the door is the hardest part and that I won’t regret going for a run when I have no motivation. If you have no motivation sometimes just running an easy mile at a nice slow pace can is better than no miles.
